THE HISTORIC CENTER OF BOLOGNA
Tour of the city and its historic center, famous for its 37 kilometers of arcades, the university, the towers of the Asinelli and Garisenda and its “joy of life”. During the visit you can see Piazza Maggiore, dating back to the beginning of the 13th century and created to give life to a prestigious public space; the Palazzo del Podestà, the famous Neptune fountain from 1566, the Palazzo Comunale, the Basilica of San Petronio, an ambitious church built at the end of the 14th century, whose facade is the work of Jacopo della Quercia.

THE CHURCHES OF BOLOGNA
Visit to the churches of Bologna: the Basilica of San Domenico with the tomb of San Domenico, on which several generations of artists have worked from the 13th to the 16th century, from Nicola Pisano to Michelangelo. Our visit continues with the Basilica of Santo Stefano, a stupendous complex of churches from the 11th and 12th centuries.

THE UNIVERSITY AND THE BASILICA OF SAN GIACOMO MAGGIORE
A more in-depth visit of the city’s treasures, starting from the University of Bologna, dating back to 1088. Then continue with the Archiginnasio built in the 16th century: walls, arches and stairs are completely covered by a rich heraldic decoration, unique in Europe. It houses an important library and the anatomical amphitheater, a temple of human dissection. In the Basilica of San Giacomo Maggiore, full of masterpieces, you can see among others the oratory of Santa Cecilia, decorated with frescoes by the best artists of that time.
